The Expert Council of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Was Formed

On March 15, 2015, a new composition of the Expert Council of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) was formed. Philipp Ryabchenko, Senior Partner of BIEL Law Firm, was included in the Expert Council for 2015.

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives for Promotion of New Projects, an autonomous non-commercial organization, was created at the request of V.V. Putin in 2011. The founder of the ASI is the Government of the Russian Federation. The members of the Supervisory Board (supreme managing body of the Agency) are V.V. Putin, President of the Russian Federation, G.O. Gref, President of Sberbank, S.N. Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, A.V. Ulyukaev, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, A.N. Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and others. The goal of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives is to create opportunities for self-realization of young ambitious leaders able to bring Russia to the leading positions in the world. This goal is achieved by accomplishment of specific tasks, such as promotion of projects and initiatives of the rapidly growing medium business and in the social sphere, improvement of entrepreneurial climate, creation of a positive image of the entrepreneur and entrepreneurship in the Russian society, etc. The main functions of the ASI are to support initiatives as well as initiate, search for, select and promote projects, liquidate administrative barriers, and manage changes in the regulatory environment.

The Expert Council of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives carries out expert analyses of projects and initiatives as well as develops recommendations for agendas of meetings of the Supervisory Board and proposed draft resolutions of the Supervisory Board. The Expert Council acts on a permanent basis and is an expert & consulting body at the ASI. 25 members of the Expert Council are chosen from the winners of the contest for the substitution for vacancies and work for one year and may be re-elected in the next year for an unlimited number of times. The Expert Council carries out expert analyses of projects and initiatives by its work groups in the following areas: "System Projects," "Priority Programs," "Development of Young Professional Human Resources," "Social Initiatives," and "Business Projects."
